has anyone replaced the cables, and what is the procedure you used?

 

Here's the cable on an '87. The manual has no writen procedure and says the illustration is self explanitory. Thanks GM. Hope it works for ya. Cheers

I am already lost with that. Looks hard and time consuming but I suppose if your handy with a wrench, it would be easy.

 

Thanks, but the only problem I am having is getting the old one out of the firewall and am sure the same with putting it back in.
