horn problem
All, I went and cleaned all my contacts inside my steering wheel, My horn worked somewhat, when I looked at contacts in wheel, I noticed they were not clean so I used steel wool
Now when I hit the horn It does not work , But I hear a click behind the information center..
I need help..

RE: horn problem
Sounds like the horn relay is working, but it could still have burnt contacts inside the relay. The horn itself could be bad. One way to check the horn is run a wire from the positive side of the battery and touch the connector on the horn with the other end of the wire, if it doesn't blow, it's more than likely a bad horn, if it does I would suspect the horn relay.

I think the horn is made of two separate horns tho' - one high, one low. You say it worked 'somewhat'??? Was it high and wimpy like? Or low and quiet? Mightta' been one of 'em shot already... Now neither one is comin' on, huh?
When some folks' horn gives out, they just use sign language/the finger[sm=smiley35.gif]
