What is thepassive keyless entry

the passive key less entry sometimes referred as the PKE is the locking and unlocking of the doors in the 1993 and later corvette with the key fob.

 

Where is best place to obtain a PKE for a 1993corvette? and what does it take to activate it?

I would try e-bay initially. Dealers & other vendors are asking $125 or so.It shud come with programming instructions, If it doesn't someone here can help.

 

The only ones you will find on ebay are either close to dealership priced, or they're broken. The broken ones will usually bid up to almost new priced so you might as well buy a new one. When I bought mine the reciever for the PKE was disabled, so I could not use the Fob. So I would make sure that's turned on before spending the money. Good luck.

 

The instructions for programming the PKE are in the owner's manual. Up to three fobs can be programmed to the same car.
