Default Pulling the C4 LT1 engine

96 C4 LT1 175,000 miles. Spun connector rod bearing. Giving up on the quick, cheap fix. (Yes, I can hear the "I told ya so's!" coming back at me from coast to coast.) So how do you get to the transmission/block bolts? Am I right in thinking that you rig the hoist, pull the front motor mounts, then lower the block & tranny to get to the bolts? And let me guess: You have to pull the driveshaft support beam to get the tranny to lower? Nothing else looks obvious. If I'm over analyzing someone please tell me quick.

I actually did it on L98 but thing was that I lowered tranny rear end a bit and used like 3 extensions with a breaker bar at the end . The rachet was somewhere behind the tranny
