seat belt stuck cinched...any advice?
so today the shoulder part of my seatbelt is cinched and i can not get it to come out. the lap belt part works fine, and the cinch button still functions. the shoulder belt is all the way in, down to those little buttons on the belt, so it cant go in any further. are the seatbelts electronically controled, i.e. if you brake hard the belts automatically lock up? could this be some kind of malfunction in that unit? any help would be great.
i really dont like driving around without a seatbelt with all these crazy drivers we got around here.
speaking of that, this eclipse really pissed me off the other day on the highway, as much as i wanted to leave him in my mirrors, i would only do it if i knew i could be beat him. as much as i dont like street racing and i really avoid it, do u guys think my mostly stock L98 stands a chance? it would just be nice to know.

The shoulder harness is controlled by a weight and spring that engages under sudden braking. I'm afraid the only fix might be to replace mechanism. [

Any info on the Eclipse... I.E. Model and Year? I have a few friends that are big into imports and on of them has an Eclipse that is a GSX which is turbo all wheel drive. There are also GST's which are just turbo and then the GS which is neither. The GST you might be able to beat and the GSX would probably give you a run for your money if not beat you. But, if it is just a GS, you would be makin him choke on exhaust fumes cause those things are pretty slow. Go get 'em!

The Seat Belt on my 1988 IROC used to stick now and then too - I could usually free it up by jerking the sh*t out of it a few times.
