i recently had a problem with my 2001 corvette, , when i turn on my headlights my brake lights wont turn on and the backlight on my dash wont turn on either, it seems that the brake lights work fine when i step on the brake pedal and the backlight on the dash also works when i first open my door, ive been told it might be a module. has anybody had the same problem?
i would appreciate any suggestions on what it might be

 

Have you looked inside of the driver door's accordian wire protector (near the door hinge)? A loose (exposed) wire can cause strange electrical things to happen. This is a fairly common problem with C5s.
