Unhappy Blinking gauges and dic

Hi all well now my 02 is acting wierd, the gauges and dic are turning off and on quickly during the turn of the key into the ignition and the car wont start. It does this for different amounts of time, soemtimes short and sometimes long. What I found that works to get it running is to turn the key back to the accesory position for a few seconds then back to start everything is usually okay. I am thinking that this is a loose or corroded ground connection somewhere since I have checked every fuse, both in the passenger floorboard and under the hood. Has anyone had any similar problems and if so what was your outcome?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Red face

I think I did it! A while back I installed a jet performance chip inbetween the computer and computer harness. There is a bolt holding the harness onto the computer, right in the middle. The bolt was loose so I tightened it and tried to start the car several times and so far so good, no more blinking lights.

Thumbs up

Good deductive work! I would've guessed that the infamous door wire bundle exposed wire-in-accordian cover issue was to blame.
