Default A few problems on my C5

Drove my new to me C5 fopr a few days and have found a few problems. Nothing major I hope but maybe you guys can tell me.

1. Driver door wont lock by key fob or power locks. I am thinking relay.

2. Turn signal work sometimes and sometimes not. Again I am thinking relay.

3. One time the gas guage didnt go up even though I had a half tank. Turned car off and back on and it went right to half tank.

Man I love the car. Spent $300.00 at ecklers already, trunk lid cover, foam trunk divider, exaust plate and and of course the lifting plugs.

That sounds like the driver's side door lock module needs to be replaced.

You may be right about that one.

Buy a can of Techron and dump it in a tank of gas. Buy Chevron for a few months as well. Give this a try before replacing the fuel level sender unit.

Don't forget to save your pennies for a good intake. (best = Callaway Honker at $500 or for lower cost, Halltech Stinger or Vortex Rammer at $350)

Sounds like the lock actuator might be bad on the door lock, turn signals might be the flasher. Does the light come on and not flash? Check all bulbs 1st, then suspect the flasher. [8D]

Default RE: A few problems on my C5

we have had some of these same problems

Turn signals we had the relay switch replaced which is actual the hazard button

look for a loose connection with the computer we had our wire harness that was partial unplugged its behind right front wheel

we were loosing power so we replaced our battery and also found a wire that was cut near our battery terminal

we haven't had any problems since

hope you get your problems fixed

i know its frustrating getting a new car and having lots of problems..

keep me posted...
