Default Oil Pressure

I have a 2000 Vette, C5.... All of a sudden my oil pressure gage has pegged itself and the dash display is showing 130 psi.... I have only 50,000... car is in excellent shape. Oil is always changed on time. I even noticed this morning when I cranked up my car it was already pegged out.... any suggestions on my problem>?????

I have the same problem with a 97. One day fine the next day 129psi. I am going to disconnect the battery and see if it resets. Some one posted it may be a negitve grounding problem. Let me know if you find the problem.
Thanks
jaminjo

Yep, a known problem and not easy to replace, and too important to ignore and not fix. Make sure you do it well so you don't have to go back in anytime soon.
