Shifter
I am replacing my shifter that broke(dont ask i am stupid) but i was thinking of getting a different one anyways, but I dont know which type to go with. I know that B&M and Hurst aregood but i do not know which percentage reduction is all around better, is 30-40% too much and is 20% not enough, some feedback would be great. Also, I have seen some on ebay that arearound like 60$, wondering if anybody has tried them and if they are junk or not. Any advice would be great
Thanks

Go get an '07 Z06 shifter from your local chevy dealer. Get a **** also
Then, go to www.vetteessentials.com and buy their boot that is made for C5 owners that are upgrading to the C6Z shifter
You'll love it. I know I do. No more resistance than stock, but much shorter. I love it

I have a B&M. Like many aftermarket shifters it is made for drag racing: lightning fast 1-2, 2-3, and 3-4 shifts, but very stiff and difficult to push into 5th and 6th, and a real pain to get to downshift into second (when you pull back and left from third still almost insists on going into fourth) or push it into first from second (it insist on clicking into third). Also, mine was incredibly stiff -- just a lot of effort -- when new, but has worn in after a year to be quite nice.
