times were very slow-about 21 seconds for 1/4 mile,track littered with road kill,temp. about 37F.This was world's first Corvette race with the stipulation that the cars would run backwards! It was different,the crowd loved it.....

 

I'm suprised it did it that fast. I've never even bothered to take my car through the gear in reverse. I dont like going 5mph in reverse let alone 35-40.

 

Interesting trivia: my Porsche Tiptronic has two speeds in reverse: eought to do very well in these types of races..
