ok im scratching my head on this one... i think to get a proper responce you need to clarify a bit...
you say c6/zo6 6 speed auto....
z06's dont have autos andunless i have completely missed this one over the years;c5s (which you say you have a 98) arent 6 speed autos. they are 5 speeds... are c6's 6 speed autos? if so i happened to miss that one...

RE: c6/ZO6 6 speed auto transmission
C6s now come with a 6 speed automatic. C5s and early C6 autos were 4-speeds.
I know of no conversion kit that will fit the current 6-speed auto to a C5 or late F-body, but then there very well may be. It would be a great conversion if done well, but difficult, largely because of all the programming to make the transmission fit the engine characteristics well and to convert the steering wheel to the paddle shifters.

I can understand having a 6 speed auto if it had the paddle shifter. Had a Maserati paddle shifter and I loved the shifting aspect. You would be better off buying a late model C6 with the paddle shifter already installed, IMHO.

I too agree the paddle shifter is great. So is having 6 gears instead of 4. But this is one conversion I would never attempt. I agree. Live with the 4-speed you have or sell the car for a 6-speed.
