Default Dash lifting on C6

I have a 2010 C6 Grand Sport Convertible with a 6 speed. I noticed that the vinyl covering the top of the dash had bubbles and the front edge near the windshield was pulling loose at several points. Has anyone else had this problem and how involved is it to fix?

Welcome to the forums. You might check around in your area for a luggage repair shop. They do a lot of repairs to all types of vinyl covered luggage. We used them for years where the dash covers had issues. There is also the option of laying a carpet type cover over it, covers ugly and dash glare and is fairly inexpensive. I'm not sure if anyone makes a dash skin to replace the shrinking skin that on it. Someone usually does, I haven't looked.

Welcome to the forum. Another place to check would be an automotive upholstery shop. I don't think the Grand Sport had a vinyl cover but I'm not sure. I know with some of the exotic coverings that Corvette has used over the years have had delamination problems. The C8 is a good example.

It appears that vinyl wrapping the dash is a possibility, eather with leather or Vinyl. Something to consider. There are many car vinyl wrapper shops around.
