Talking Top Popping/Leaf Spring Adjuster Replacement

Had a rear leaf spring adjuster break off. Opened both doors, hood, deck lid and released all 3 top latches. Jacked up the rear and placed on two jack stands under the center of the leaf spring bolts. Replaced the adjuster. Top noise has disappeared. Coincedence? Top has made noise since new. This was my biggest complaint about the car. Since replacing the adjuster it has been a pleasure to drive. I feel sure the popping will come back but for now, I am sure enjoying the quietness.

Not familiar with the C6 suspension but perhaps it previously was in some sort of bind and replacing the adjuster got everything lined up correctly.

I think you may be correct. I had always heard that you should pop all the latches and doors when jacking it up so I unlatched all of them. Seems as if it may have just taken all the binding out of things. Our streets are full of holes and cracks and the noises with the top have not returned as yet. I hope it lasts for a while. Thanks for the reply. I think at one time, the Zs didn't have removeable tops. Would like to have one of them. dm
