Hi, just bought a blue 2005 a4 c6. Ive got 1 year left on warranty and don't need hassles of aftermarket mods, and really like the idea of loud/quiet operation. Will the stock gm Z51 cat back from a 08 c6 bolt up to my 05 c6? And will it function if i buy a remote? Also any body selling theirs?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

 

you would have to run a vac. line ,reserve tank ,vac. switch .should i go on

 

the c6 has a 2.5 inch exhaust,
Z06 has a 3 inch system, not too much interchangeability!
it would be easier to add the cut-outs.

Hi, thanks for the input extanker. They actually have a tank somewhere in the car for that, I didn't know that! How big and where? Also ray I thought the 08 c6 with the Z51 exhaust uses the same 2.5 inch pipes?

 

you are right about the pipe diameter. I had Z06 on my mind
because I had already triedthat swap. you might find the parts on E-bay.
