Blew fuse on my 66 working on Glove box light. Volt gage LH pin is gone and needle points to the bottom. Could I have trashed the gagewhen the fuse blew ???

Welcome to the forum.

Are you referring to the Ammeter gauge? Was it working before the fuse blew? What caused the fuse to blow?

Far as I know the gague was working. Replaced theclock and hooked up the battery and all was well. Put the glove box back and when I as reattaching the glove box light I had not unhooked tha battery again and touched the hot side of the switch to the metal bracket the 4 amp fuse blew, and the next day I noticed the needle pointing down.

Thanks Joe

Not sure why blowing the fuse would hurt the ammeter gauge.
