My original thought would be issues inside the tank but the fact that you say it was ok befor the mods baffles me. I have never been a big fan of the Edlebroc 4 barrels (I had one on my '76) cause they are a bitch to get right.

I really want to say it's prob a coincidence that it showed up right after the mods. I would start looking at the sock or pickup in the tank.

I've got 2 Edlebrock carbs... one on my 73 LS4 and another on a LT1 in an off road cj5 Jeep. I also had fuel starvation problems in both. Check into the spring loaded off road needle seats. That cured my problems instantly. After I put those in the Jeep... it even ran when it ended up on its roll cage! Good luck,
Wedge
