Visor bushings on 1982

Default Visor bushings on 1982

How do you install the visor rod with the new white plastic bushings on the elbow.I have tyed to push the rod into the elbow with new bushing will not go in all the wy

Welcome to the forums. Without looking at it I can't say what the issue is, you can compair the new bushings with the old and see if there is a difference between them. Zip Corvette parts has some instructions on how the visors are assembled, and YouTube has some assembly information on visors also.

Welcome to the forum. As Thomas said, Zip and also several Corvette aftermarket suppliers publish DIY instructions. If all else fails, you might try to get an Assembly Manual from one of them to see if it helps.

Maybe try inserting the plastic bushings first then install the rod into it.

I have tried to push the rod into the bushing in the elbow will not go all the way in.Tryed putting the bushing on the rod ,then trying to push it into the elbow will not go..

It's possible that the bushings are not made correctly. Do you have an original to compare with?

Bigger Hammer. Yes compare something is not right. They should snap together. You might need to modify it.
