My injectors are rochester 17086545 21.7 lb/hr 16.0 ohms..... 4 are bad (8 ohms to 10ohms)
(late 80 or early 90 injectors are prone to coil shorting)
I have flowmaster mufflers and a throttle body airfoil(stock hp 245..prob 270 now)

considering replacing with the new accel injector.....$259.95 per set

choices are 150121 21lb/hr 14.4 ohms or 150123 23 lb/hr 14.4 ohms....

will using either injector require reprogramming ecm...

my other option is an acdelco remanufactured unit 5235436 22lb/hr 16 ohms $200.00 from
www.injectors4u.com (motorman injectors)...

both are matched sets.........

any opinions welcome and appreciated....

 

you will not need to reprom the ECM, but if you get injectors that have different flow rates than stock, you will need to get an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. But for the price, i would just get one anyways, so you dont have to worry about it.

 

Stock rating, factory spec is 22 lbs. Just went throught that with mine. Company sold me the wrong injectors (19lb, for 305 TPI or Ford 302) when mine requires the 22lb injectors. Talk about something that will kick your hiney trying to figure out why it runs like poo poo. Made me doubt my 25 years of diagnostic ability. LOL
