headers- best for the money
looking to put headers on but need to get some feed back,i currently put the corsa indy exhaust on from the converters back.i have put headers on previous hot rods at a younger age and had nothing but problems with leaks at the manifolds and the flanges, that annoying tick of an exhaust leak. have things changed?
who has the best for the money?
do i need to put high flow converters on?
long or short headers?
how much is the sound difference?

RE: headers- best for the money
From what I have read in my research I plan to install the LG Motorsports Longtube Header and X-Pipe on my car. Their longtube headers where developed by Borla exclusively for them and have some pretty impressive dyno numbers. I still haven't decided if I want to go with cats or not by I think I am leaning more toward them. LG uses Random Technology cats on their system and due to their high amount of flow you don't really lose that much power with them.

yes i waas also looking at the lg headers, i have heard good things. i already have the corsa x pipe so just need the headers and cats. i just dont want any trouble with leaks and would actually like to hear them first. ill have to do some searching. gy the way your sound clip of that cammed out vette sounds awsome. with no cam upgrade i wounder what mine will sound like with headers.

RE: headers- best for the money
One point to remember is the tube diameter: use 1 3/4 up to about 475 HP rear wheels, 1 7/8 up to about 600, 2" on up.
I have Kook's header's too. They've worked well. Had a set of long tube B&B (can only buy their long-tubes through Lingenfelter) which were very good but expensive.
Personally, I'm opposed to removing the cats - yes it adds power, but its illegal and we all need clean air. I run cats on the street even though it costs me 29 RWHP.
