Default Passenger side headlight

Hi all! Loving the C5, but I have a really weird situation that has remained consistent for several months.

When I bought the car, the right headlamp wouldn’t rise up. Simple right? I putzed with the adjustment **** and got it to work fine. Only problem is, it only works in the daytime! Everytime it is dark out and I engage the lights switch, it won’t come up! It happened again last night. This morning I went outside and tested it. Went right up!

Is this just a personal gremlin or has anyone else experienced this? I’ve turned off the twilight function, but is there something else DIC related? I can’t see that it would make any difference changing out the motor, but maybe I’m wrong?

I know this sounds crazy, but it’s driving me nuts. Any suggestions appreciated.

I would check and clean he wiring connections. Maybe temperature related, that could be wiring also. You could replace the motor to see if that makes a difference and have a spare. These kind of problems can drive you crazy.

Thanks Thomas! I’ll check connections.

You could try checking the voltage at the motor when the headlight won't come up also.
